What's New for the 2026 RAM 1500?
Truck shoppers will rejoice in the exciting updates to the 2026 RAM 1500. While the RAM 1500 is a mid-generation model this year, it boasts updates to its trim lineup, performance and optional packages.
The updates start with the re-launch of the 5.7-liter, V8 Hemi engine. This engine was eliminated for the 2025 model year. The revived engine continues to produce 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The engine is standard for the Limited and Longhorn trim levels. It is offered as an upgrade for the Tradesman, Express, Warlock, Big Horn/Lone Star and Laramie.
Two other powertrains are also available. The base engine is a twin-turbo inline-six, 3.0-liter system. It produces 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. There is also a high-output version of this engine, and it gives you 540 horsepower with 521 pound-feet of torque. All trim levels are outfitted with air or coil springs as well as a rear five-link suspension.
The Express trim level is added to the 2026 lineup, and it takes its place between the Tradesman and Warlock. This trim level builds on the features offered in the Tradesman with blacked-out headlamps and gray trim throughout the cab.
For all trim levels, the quad and crew cab versions of the RAM 1500 can be upgraded with the Black Express package. This package dresses up the RAM 1500 with a sportier hood, black badging for the interior and exterior, 20-inch black wheels, and black upholstery.
The style of the 2026 RAM 1500 is otherwise unchanged. The model's signature sculpted hood and tall nose give it a commanding look. The grille boasts the RAM logo and is flanked by rectangular LED headlights. The sides are notably smooth with the exception of a beltline crease.
The features offered in the 2025 RAM 1500 carry forward to the new model year. Some of these include intersection collision mitigation, hands-free active driving assistance, a digital rear mirror, a 23-speaker sound system, a 14.5-inch central display screen, a head-up display screen, leather upholstery, heated seats for the front and rear rows, up to two smartphone chargers, a configurable digital instrumentation system, a dual-zone auto climate control system, and other desired features.
