The remarkable Jeep Compass is a small crossover SUV that delivers the functionality, style, and quality features you expect from a Jeep. In 2026, the Compass is unchanged except for an adjustment to the trim options. Jeep has eliminated the Sport and Latitude Lux trim levels. In addition, the entry-level Latitude trim level is gone, and the Latitude Altitude takes its position in the lineup.
Every trim level continues to have a 2.0-liter turbo, four-cylinder engine. This engine will impress you with its 200-horsepower output and 221 pound-feet of torque. Every trim level also has all-wheel drive with an eight-speed automatic transmission. If you select the Compass Trailhawk, your crossover SUV will also come with Rock and low range drive modes, hill descent control, and an off-road-tuned suspension.
The Compass's exterior style holds steady going into the 2026 model year. At the front end, the curved nose displays a wide row of rectangular columns on the grille. The grille directly integrates with the LED headlights. Small foglight ports are linked by a thin band, and this band runs above the molded bumper. Across the sides of the Compass, you will find a crease running over the upper portion of the door panels and well-defined back haunches. Some or all trims come with a hands-free liftgate, a windshield wiper de-icer, 19-inch wheels, auto wipers, underbody skid plates, tow hooks, roof rails, and all-terrain tires.
