What's New for the 2024 RAM 1500 Classic?
The recognized style of the RAM 1500 truck was established in 2009 when the last generation debuted. While there have been tweaks to the look since that time, the overall design has largely remained unchanged. This design includes a commanding front end with a muscular hood and a bold grille that spans over most of the nose. The headlights are equally sizable and have a subtly rectangular shape.
The RAM 1500 is moving into its next generation with a modernized exterior. However, fans of the previous style can still find what they want in the RAM 1500 Classic. The 2024 RAM 1500 Classic will have two trim options and two powertrains. The trim levels are the Warlock and the Tradesman. The base engine is a 3.6-liter, V6, 305-horsepower unit. You could also upgrade to the 5.7-liter V8 gas engine that puts out 395 horsepower. Both powertrains are linked to an eight-speed auto transmission. The V8 engine can tow up to 10,520 pounds and has a maximum payload capacity of 1,930 pounds. The RAM 1500 Classic also has a steel frame, electronic roll mitigation, and electronic stability control.
Inside, the dashboard has an old-school look with numerous classic knobs and buttons. The center stack also has a 7-inch or 8.4-inch touch display screen. This screen sits in a molded unit and is flanked by vertical air vents for the dual-zone climate control system. The 7-inch cluster for the driver's instruments has digital readouts yet retains an old-school look with round displays. Additional features are a UConnect infotainment system, a ParkView rear backup camera, RamConnect, remote vehicle access, voice control with hands-free calling, keyless entry, a wireless internet hotspot, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a navigation system, full-speed forward collision mitigation, and more.
