The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has made quite a change for this year and it’s certainly going to be something you’ll have to see to believe.
From the design changes to the structural changes which have cumulatively contributed to its’ Top Safety Pick in 2010 from the IIHS (Insurance Institute of Highway Safety), the Grand Cherokee has evolved substantially.
There are many things that make this new Grand Cherokee an amazing combination of engineering and design and one worth explaining for the reason that it represents new changes coming to Chrysler is the Pentastar V6 engine.
The Pentastar V6 incorporates Fiat technology into the Grand Cherokee and for those unfamiliar with Fiat, they’ve sorta built some of the most inspiring technology thats considered leading edge within the engineering world. One of their most notable accomplishments being the MultiAir technology which allows engines to run leaner under certain conditions resulting in less fuel consumption.
The evolution of the Grand Cherokee marks a new era for Chrysler, and one that with the vast engineering accolades from Fiat is going to be the one to watch here in the US in the coming years. They’ve made extraordinary progress in blending the best of Chrysler in with the best of Fiat to produce the engine platforms of the next generation.
The Pentastar V6 is able to produce a 33% increase in power, 11% increase in torque, while increasing fuel efficiency by 11%. This double digit performance improvement means that we’ve only just begun to see how fast and how great this new collaboration is going to be between Chrysler and Fiat.
